Founded in 1952, the CFA Society of Minnesota is the greater Twin Cities Chapter of the CFA Institute, a global membership organization that awards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The CFA Society of Minnesota is a vital part of the Minnesota investment community, with nearly 1,200 members from every segment of the finance industry who represent nearly 120 local financial institutions and upwards of $600 billion in assets under management.

More than 490 public companies call Minnesota home, with company headquarters throughout the Twin Cities Metro area. Join us August 1, 2013 at University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis Campus, for an in-depth analysis of Minnesota based businesses and corporations.

The conference provides participating companies the opportunity to tell their story to a broad audience of investment management firms, plan sponsors, and foundations and endowments. This conference helps facilitate an important function of reporting to existing shareholders and provides the opportunity to potentially attract additional shareholder interest.

The structure of this event will be similar to other investor conferences except for one critical difference: this is a conference sponsored by institutional investors and fulfilled by the not-for-profit CFA Society of MN, not a commission-based brokerage firm. Invitations will not be limited by a coverage list or investment banking relationships. In time we hope all public companies in our the region choose to participate.

Unlike a typical investor conference, the unique format of InvestMNt will provide a venue for investors, issuing companies and industry vendors to engage in business relationships in an open, no-strings-attached setting. Developed by investors, for investors, and with more than a dozen firms representing more than $150B in AUM.

The financial industry has experienced significant turmoil over the past several years. Currently no commercial entity is offering an Upper Midwest-focused conference featuring the companies in our region. The CFA Society of MN is the perfect conduit to fill this void. Unlike a typical investor conference, the unique format of InvestMNt provides a venue for investors, issuers and industry vendors to engage in business relationships in an open, no-strings-attached setting.

Join us August 1, 2013 at University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis Campus, for a one-day investors’ conference—InvestMNt, a Conference for Investors, by Investors—featuring  regional companies from the wide variety of industries doing business in our state and the surrounding region.  Such a broad-based regional conference is a tradition that for many years has been absent from the investment scene.

The CFA Society of Minnesota is uniquely positioned to revive the important practice of connecting the investment community with the region’s many publicly traded companies at such a major annual event.

2013 InvestMNt Conference Date Announced: August 1, 2013

The CFA Society of Minnesota will once again host the InvestMNt Conference in 2013. The one-day conference will be held August 1, 2013 at the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis Campus, Minneapolis, MN. Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual InvestMNt Conference.
